A UFO is a little known grind in which you grind
as in a frontside, but with your knees touching. This may sound simple,
but it is harder to do that you would think.
This is the ideal move to learn directly after you learn how to frontside.
It gives you a sense of balance while grinding, and it gives you a little bit
of insight as to how some of the tricks down the line are done.
The first thing I should say is you should DEFINATELY have a firm
grasp of the frontside. I know people who can do top-side acids and fast slides
that can't frontside worth a darn, and as far as I know, they can't UFO either.
Start to frontside like normal, and pull your knees together. They won't touch.
Try it again, they won't touch. Basically all you have to do is try at it about
ten times. Your body isn't used to having to pull your legs together and keep the
feet apart, so it's all a matter of stretching.
This is also a very good warm up grind, so it's good to have in your arsenal.
